A further wave brings more complexity to our lives. This foregrounds the importance of graphic design practice…how it forms an understanding of the world around us. Graphic design brings forward crucial information, provides perspective on our milieu, and engages with complex problems.
The recent COVID context brought difficulties to be overcome, exemplified by our 2021 students, who in challenging times have produced a range of relevant and insightful design projects that demonstrate breadth, depth and innovation in approach. Their independence and design engagement came to the fore.
Within a course that is multidisciplinary by nature, critically engaged and supportive of individuality, these students have engaged their practice with rigour and intelligence. Our BA Graphic Communication Design course provides an environment where young designers can explore their voices across a wide range of ideas and subject disciplines; employing research, experimentation and the application of design technologies.
The projects on show here are the culmination of three invested years of study, it has been a reward working alongside these committed and engaging individuals.
