BA Contemporary Media Practice (CMP) is one of the first interdisciplinary media production courses in the country. Its 4-decade history has produced an impressive legacy of a diverse recruitment, creative innovation, and global success stories. Its focus on multi-skilled media production means graduates are well-positioned to make the most of dynamic changes in the creative industries.
Core media production skills in all course media (film/moving image, photography, and interactive media) and the ability to research and analyse ideas and themes in contemporary media culture are developed throughout the course, along with the ability to explore the interdisciplinary frontiers of current media practice.
For the Final Major Project, CMP students typically create a wide range of work through the conscious selection of distinctive project themes and media production methods. It is the specific ability of our students to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances that has inspired them to show enormous initiative, resourcefulness, and creativity in the development of their graduate projects during the pandemic. We are delighted that you can celebrate their success with us.
